Chiropractic care is a natural, hands-on approach to supporting your body’s ability to heal and thrive. It focuses on the relationship between the spine, nervous system, and overall health — recognising that when your spine is aligned and moving well, your body may function at its best.
At Rise Chiropractic & Wellness, our chiropractors use a range of gentle techniques to assess spinal movement, identify areas of tension or restriction, and apply targeted adjustments that may help restore mobility and ease discomfort. Care is always tailored to the individual — whether you’re dealing with everyday tension, recovering from an injury, or simply wanting to move and feel better.
We take a whole-body approach, looking beyond symptoms to understand what may be driving discomfort. Alongside spinal care, our team may offer guidance on lifestyle, exercise, and posture to support your long-term wellbeing. Chiropractic care is about empowering you to live life with more ease, energy, and movement.
Not at all — no referral is needed to see a chiropractor in Australia. You’re welcome to book directly with us at any time, making it easy to access care when you need it most.
Whether you’re experiencing neck or back tension, recurring headaches, posture-related discomfort, or simply want to support your general wellbeing, our team is ready to help. We see patients of all ages — from infants to seniors — and tailor every consultation to suit your individual needs and health goals.
If you do have a referral or care plan from your GP — such as an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan — we’re happy to see you under those arrangements too. We also see eligible Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) patients. Whatever your situation, the best first step is simply to book a consultation and let us guide you from there. We’re always happy to chat if you’re unsure whether chiropractic is right for you.
Your first visit is all about understanding you — not just your symptoms, but your whole health picture. We’ll take time to chat about your health history, lifestyle, daily habits, and what’s brought you in. There’s no rush; we genuinely want to understand what’s going on.
From there, your chiropractor will carry out a thorough physical assessment. This may include posture analysis, spinal and joint movement testing, neurological checks, and orthopaedic tests to get a clear picture of how your body is functioning. We’ll explain what we find in plain language, so you always know what’s happening.
If appropriate, your chiropractor may provide your first adjustment on the same day — tailored to your body, your comfort level, and your health goals. We’ll also discuss what a care plan might look like and answer any questions you have. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of where you’re at and what we’d recommend going forward.
Most people find chiropractic adjustments to be a gentle and relieving experience. For many, there is a sense of immediate release — a feeling of lightness, improved mobility, or reduced tension after their visit.
That said, everyone’s body is different. If you’re new to chiropractic care, it’s completely normal to feel a little tender or fatigued in the day or two following your first adjustment as your body adapts. This is generally mild and short-lived, similar to how you might feel after a good stretch or workout.
At Rise Chiropractic & Wellness, your comfort is always our priority. We offer a range of gentle techniques suitable for all ages and body types — from light-touch methods to more dynamic adjustments — and will always check in with you throughout your visit. If at any point you feel uncomfortable or have concerns, just let us know. We tailor our approach to suit what feels right for you.
Chiropractic care may assist with a wide range of musculoskeletal and nervous system-related concerns. Many of our patients seek support for back and neck tension, headaches, poor posture, shoulder and joint discomfort, sciatica-like symptoms, and sports-related strains.
Beyond pain, chiropractic care may also support people dealing with stress-related muscle tightness, sleep difficulties, fatigue, and a general sense of feeling out of alignment. We also work with pregnant women, children, and older adults, tailoring our approach to suit each person’s unique needs.
It’s worth noting that chiropractors don’t diagnose or treat medical conditions — our role is to assess spinal and joint function and provide care that may help your body move and function more efficiently. We take a whole-body approach and, where appropriate, will refer you to your GP or other healthcare providers.
If you’re unsure whether chiropractic is right for your situation, give us a call — we’re always happy to chat and help point you in the right direction.
Yes, chiropractic care can be appropriate for children and during pregnancy when provided by a trained practitioner using suitable techniques.
For pregnant women, gentle chiropractic care may help support pelvic alignment and ease discomfort associated with the physical changes of pregnancy — particularly in the lower back, hips, and pelvis. We use pregnancy-safe techniques and adjusting tables designed to accommodate a growing belly, ensuring mum and bub remain comfortable throughout.
For children, paediatric adjustments are extremely gentle — far lighter in pressure than adult care — and are adapted to suit the size and developmental needs of little ones. Many parents bring their children in for postural concerns, sports injuries, or general wellness support.
At Rise Chiropractic & Wellness, we love working with families and have experience caring for patients of all ages, from newborns to grandparents. We conduct a thorough assessment before care begins and always explain our findings and recommendations in full before proceeding.
The “crack” or “pop” you might hear during a chiropractic adjustment is called cavitation — and it’s completely harmless. Inside your joints, there’s a small amount of synovial fluid that helps lubricate and cushion movement. When a joint is gently moved through its range of motion, a rapid change in pressure can cause tiny gas bubbles to form and release, creating that distinctive sound.
It’s the same mechanism as cracking your knuckles — just happening in the spinal joints instead. The sound is not a sign that something has been “fixed” or “clicked back into place” — it’s simply a natural byproduct of joint movement.
Not every adjustment produces a sound, and that’s perfectly normal. The effectiveness of an adjustment doesn’t depend on whether you hear anything. Some techniques we use are entirely silent and still deliver excellent results. If you have any concerns about sounds or sensations during your visit, our chiropractors are always happy to explain exactly what’s happening.
Stress has a very real physical impact on the body. When we’re under pressure, muscles tend to tighten, posture can suffer, and the spine may become restricted — all of which can compound feelings of tension and fatigue. Chiropractic care may help address some of these physical effects of stress.
By seeking to improve spinal alignment and support healthy nervous system function, chiropractic adjustments may assist the body in moving from a heightened stress state to a more relaxed one. Many of our patients report feeling calmer, sleeping better, and having improved energy levels after regular care.
Beyond managing specific complaints, we take a whole-person approach to wellness at Rise Chiropractic & Wellness. Our chiropractors may provide guidance on posture, movement, ergonomics, and lifestyle habits to support your overall health — not just in the clinic, but in your daily life too.
Please note that chiropractic care is not a treatment for anxiety or mental health conditions. We always encourage patients to seek support from their GP or a mental health professional when needed.
Yes! We accept most major Australian private health funds, including Medibank, BUPA, HCF, NIB, and many others. If your extras cover includes chiropractic benefits, you can claim on the spot through HICAPS at the time of your visit — no paperwork required.
It’s worth checking with your health fund before your appointment to confirm your level of cover, as benefits can vary depending on your policy and tier. Our reception team is happy to help if you have any questions.
We also see patients under Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plans and Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) arrangements. For EPC plans, a referral from your GP is required. For DVA patients, we bulk bill eligible services directly.
Payment can also be made by cash, EFTPOS, or credit card. We aim to make the payment process as seamless as possible so you can focus on what matters most — your health. Give us a call if you have any questions about payment or cover before your visit.
Chiropractic care may be beneficial for a wide range of people — from newborns to seniors, and everyone in between. You don’t need to be in pain to see a chiropractor; many of our patients visit for general wellness and preventive care.

Simply bring your referral letter and EPC plan to your appointment. A gap fee may apply depending on your plan type — our team will walk you through this when you book.
Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA): We bulk bill eligible DVA patients, meaning there is no out-of-pocket cost for your chiropractic visits. Please bring your DVA card to your appointment. We accept both Gold and White cards (where chiropractic is an approved condition under your White card).
